1 Fri USA-LIMA
Depart
USA to Lima. You will be met upon your arrival, assisted & transferred
to your hotel. Take some time to settle in & relax. The remainder
of the day is free for your own activities.
Day
2 Sat LIMA
Lima
is the industrial, political and commercial center of the country.
Morning tour visits the 17th century San Francisco monastery & its
unique cloisters, Plaza de Armas & the Government Palace, Court
of the Inquisition & the Cathedral. Continue through the boulevard
of the republic & the exclusive areas of Miraflores & San Isidro
to enjoy a magnificent view of the Pacific Ocean.
In the afternoon
you will visit one of Lima’s most famous museums, the gold & arms
museum, which houses a priceless collection of gold, silver & copper
artifacts of Peru’s numerous past civilizations as well as the private
armory of Miguel Mujica Gallo. (B)

3 Sun LIMA-CUZCO
Today
you will fly to Cuzco former capital of the four regions that formed
the Inca Empire it is a city with unique characteristics and impressive
contrasts. Settle in your hotel & free time to adjust to the high
altitude (11,000 feet). Afternoon tour visits the Cathedral, Santo
Domingo church, Plaza the Armas & the Inca ruins of Tambomachay,
Kenko, Puca-Pucara & Sacsayhuaman’s gigantic zigzag-walled fortress.

4 Mon CUZCO (MACHU PICCHU)
Early
morning you board the train for a three-hour journey through Urubamba
Canyon to the famous ruins of Machu Pichu “the lost city of the
Incas”. Machu Picchu was only discovered in 1911 and consists of
over 200 buildings. A guided tour will take you through Temples,
Houses & sacred Altars of this advanced hidden world. Buffet lunch
is included. Return to Cuzco. (B, L)

5 Tue CUZCO (PISAC-OLLANTAYTAMBO)
A
full day excursion includes visit to the famous Indian Pisac Market
& the magnificent fortress of Ollantaytambo; the oldest continuously
occupied settlement in the Americas. It is believed construction
was cut short by the arrival of the Spaniards. Lunch is included.
Return to Cuzco for overnight. (B, L)

6 Wed CUZCO-PUNO (LAKE TITICACA)
You
will be transferred to the bus station this morning for your 12
hours ride through magnificent scenery to Juliaca. Upon arrival
you will be met & transferred to your hotel in Puno, situated on
the shores of Lake Titicaca. (B)
Day
7 Thu PUNO- UROS ISLAND-LAKE TITICACA CROSSING-HUATAJATA
You will visit the floating islands of the Uros Indians in the
Lake Titicaca this morning Then travel by bus from Puno to
Copacabana (Bolivia) After lunch in Copacabana you will visit
the famous Cathedral of “Virgin Morena’ Bolivia’s most important religious shrine. Then
you will cross Lake Titicaca by hydrofoil with visits to Sun & Moon
islands, to Huatajata. You will be welcomed with a reception at
the “Andean roots Resort”. In the evening visit the Mystic world
of the Kallawayas (natural medicine doctors & fortune-tellers) &
the Aiapacha Native Observatory. Tonight you will stay overnight
at Inca Utama hotel with, enjoy a candlelight dinner & folkloric
show (Pena). (B, L, D)

8 Fri HUATAJATA-TIAWANACU-LA PAZ
Drive
to La Paz visiting on the way the ruins of Tiawanacu. The capital
of a once great civilization, which reached its splendor around
700AD, was considered the largest city in the world & the “Cradle
of the American Civilization”. Ruins of Aqueducts, Temples & the
famous Gate of the Sun, which is carved with symmetrical figures,
bear witness to the greatness of this ancient civilization. Continue
to La Paz via the town of Laja. (B)

9 Sat LA PAZ
The
city of La Paz, founded in 1548, is a unique blend of cultures located
within a magnificent mountain Panorama. Tour of the city visits
a typical Indian market, the famous witch doctor’s market & the
San Francisco colonial church built in 1744. Pass the Plaza Murillo
where the Cathedral, the Government palace & the National Congress
buildings are located. Then visit the famous colonial street “Calle
Jaen” in the old colonial La Paz & the archaeological Temple of
the Tiawanaku period. Continue through the areas of Obrajes, Calasoto
& La Florida to the Moon Valley. The remainder of the day is at
leisure. (B)

After
breakfast at your hotel you will be transferred to the airport for
