Day
2: Managua (MASAYA VOLCANO-INDIAN
MARKET)
A
morning tour visits the old down town, the Presidential House, the
Convention Center, Louis Alfonzo Velasquez Park, the old Metropolitan
Cathedral, the Ruben Dario National Theater, and the Roberto Huembes
Market. This market is a very interesting place for arts & crafts
of artists from all over the country. Then visit the Acahualinca
archaeological museum where you can view footprints of man & animals
fleeing from volcanic eruption some time around 6,000-10,000 years
ago. B
Day
3: Managua (THE WHITE TOWNS)
A
few miles from Managua there is a cluster of little towns, which
the Nicaraguans call “Los Pueblos Biancos” (the White Towns). Full
day tour, takes you to Catarina, famous for its willow baskets.
You can also have a spectacular view in to the deep crater of Apoyo
Lagoon. The towns of Diaria & Diriomo are called the towns of sorcery
because of the legends about ghosts, witches & sorcerers, though
the residents specialize in home made sweets. Nuquinohomo is known
for gardening & is the birthplace of General Augusto Cesar Santino.
In Masatepe the homemade sweets & soups (especially mondogo soup)
are not to be missed. Diriamba is famous for its coffee plantations.
Return to Managua. B

:1 USA-Managua
Day
4: Granada
Morning
transfer to the oldest colonial town of America, Granada, known
also as the "Gran Sultana", where our experienced guide will take
you to the principal historic and architectural attractions of the
town. Dinner and accommodation at one of the best hotels of Granada.
Explore the city this evening and enjoy the splendid nightlife that
Granada has to offer.
Day 5: National Park Masaya Volcano - Handicraft Market - Catarina -
Granada
Take
an excursion to National Park Masaya Volcano, then visit Masaya
and the handicraft market, where you can observe and buy some beautiful
Nicaraguan artwork. On the way back to Granada, we make a stop at
View Point of Catarina from where you have a splendid view of the
Lagoon of Apoyo. Eat dinner in Granada, and spend the night at one
of the best hotels in the city.
Depart
USA to Managua. You will be met, assisted & transferred to your
hotel. Nested at the shores of Lake Managua, Managua is a low-rise
city that spans a huge area. Destroyed by the 1972 earthquake, the
city is not fully restored, though some of the old buildings have
been restored & new ones are rising at a fast pace. The remainder
of the day is at leisure

6: Granada - León |
|
Today
you will get to know the city with most trees per square meter in
the world, Managua, situated by Xolotlan Lake. Then visit another
treasure of the country, León, where the famous poet Ruben Dario
rests in peace. On our way there, you will pass the Momotombo Volcano.
The Leon city tour gives you the opportunity to enjoy the splendid
architecture of the town, and in the evening you will have dinner
in your hotel before you retire for the night. |
Day
7: Hot springs in San Jacinto - Managua |
After
breakfast we are taken to the village of San Jacinto, where we will
relax for a while in the hot springs at the bottom of the Telica
Volcano. At the end of this day you will travel back to Managua. |

8: Managua-USA |
Mornig
at your leisure. Afternoon transfer for the return flight home. |
