Itinerary
Day 1 Sat DEPART USA
Depart New York via overnight transatlantic
flight with meals on board.

Day 2 Sun CAIRO
You will be met at Cairo’s airport by your host,
who will assist you through custom & baggage

claim formalities & transfer you to your hotel.
The remainder of the day is at leisure.

Day 3 Mon CAIRO (MUSEUM-CITADEL-MOSQUES)
A full day tour visits the impressive Cairo Museum
of Antiquities which houses treasures from the
1st to the 31st dynasties of Egypt’s Pharaohs.
From there you proceed to the 12th century
Citadel of Salah El Din overlooking Cairo from the
Mogattam hills with many important monuments
including the Great Mohammed Ali Mosque.
Continue with visits to the Sultan Hasan Mosque
& the fascinating Khan El Khalili bazaar, which
features a wondrous variety of goods. B
Day 4 Tue CAIRO (GIZA-MEMPHIS & SAKKARA)
Today your tour begins with a visit to the 4,500 year old Pyramid of Cheops & the enigmatic sphinx, both remains of a great civilization. You will continue to Memphis the capital of ancient Egypt to see the statue of Ramses II & the alabaster Sphinx of the 18th dynasty & proceed to Sakkara to see the step pyramid of king Zoser the oldest one in Egypt & the famous Mastaba tombs. B
Day 5 Wed CAIRO-LUXOR (CRUISE)-KENA
Early morning transfer to the airport for your flight to Luxor, where you will be transferred to your Nile cruise ship. In the afternoon the ship will sail to Kena. B, L, D
Day 6 Thu KENA-DEDERA-ABYDOS-LUXOR
At Dendera you will see the Ptolemaic classic sanctuary of god Ptah, legendary creator of the universe, the Temple of Hathor, goddess of love. In Abydos, holy-city of Osiris & the cult of the dead you will view the Temple of Seti I, upon whose walls and columns are carved the most finely executed bus reliefs in all of ancient Egypt. You will sail to Luxor in the afternoon. The ship will overnight in Luxor. B, L, D

Day 7 Fri LUXOR & KARNAK TEMPLES
Today sightseeing includes the Temples of Karnak & Luxor. Colossal statues, pylons, hypostyle halls & majestic obelisks all bear witness to the greatness of this ancient civilization. Dinner on board followed with a belly dancing show. B, L, D
Day 8 Sat LUXOR (VALLEY OF THE KINGS & QUEENS)-EDFU

You will cross the Nile to the West Bank to visit the Valley of the Kings & Queens where dynasties of Pharaos are buried, the Great temple of Queen Hatshepsut at El Deir El Bahari, the Temple of Ramses III & the Colossi of Memnon at Medinet Habu. In the afternoon you will sail to Edfu. In the evening enjoy the captain’s cocktail party followed by dinner. B, L, D
 
Day 9 Sun EDFU-KOM OMBO
In Edfu you will visit the superbly preserved Temple of the falcon god & master of the sky Horus. Afternoon sailing to Kom Ombo where you will visit the Temple shared by two gods, Sobec the crocodile god & Haroeis the sun god. Dinner on board followed with a Calabeya party. B, L, D
Day 10 Mon KOM OMBO-ASWAN
Sail to the Nubian town of Aswan. Sightseeing begins
with a visit to the high Dam, built to control the
flooding of the Nile. Then sail by boat to the Temple

of Isis, rising off the waters of Lake Naser on the
island of Philae. Continue on to the ancient Granite
Quarries & the enormous 170 foot-long unfinished
obelisk. In the afternoon you will sail around
Elephantine Island to view the Agha Khan Mausoleum
& Kichener’s island. Dinner on board followed with
a Nubian folkloric show. B, L, D
Day 11 Tue ASWAN-CAIRO
Disembark after breakfast & transferred to the airport for your flight to Cairo (optional excursion to Abu Simbel is available before your flight to Cairo). Upon arrival you will be met & transferred to your hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure. B
Day 12 Wed CAIRO-USA
Transfer to the airport for your flight home. B
