Itinerary
Day 1 Fri DEPART USA
Depart New York via overnight transatlantic flight with meals on board.
Day 2 Sat CAIRO
You will be met, assisted & transferred to your hotel. The balance of the day is at leisure.

Day 3 Sun CAIRO (MUSEUM-CITADEL-MOSQUES)

Visit the impressive Cairo Museum this morning to see the treasures of Egypt’s Pharaos including the burial treasure of king Tutankhamun. In the afternoon continue to the 12th century Citadel of Salah El Din overlooking Cairo from the Mogattam hills with many important monuments including the Great Mohammed Ali Mosque. Then visit the Sultan Hasan Mosque & the fascinating Khan El Khalili bazaar, which features a wondrous variety of goods. B

Day 4 Mon CAIRO (PYRAMIDS-SPHINX-MEMPHIS-SAKKARA)

Visit the 4,500 year old Pyramid of Cheops & the enigmatic sphinx, both remains of a great civilization. The towering pyramid stands majestically in a desert plateau with two slightly smaller pyramids (one built by Cheop’s son Kephren & the other by Mycerinus), erected to preserve their bodies & treasures for the afterlife. You will continue to Memphis the capital of ancient Egypt to see the statue of Ramses II & the alabaster Sphinx of the 18th dynasty & proceed to Sakkara to see the step pyramid the oldest one in Egypt & the famous Mastaba tombs. Day 5 Tue CAIRO-ASWAN (CRUISE)

Transfer to the airport this morning for your flight to the Nubian town of Aswan to board the cruise ship. Sightseeing today includes the pharaonic Temple of Kalabsha remodeled during the Greco-Roman period & dedicated to god Mandoulis. Then the Hemi-speos Beit El Wali, erected by Ramses II & the kiosk of Kertassi erected to honor goddess Isis. Return to the ship for dinner & overnight.B,L,D

Day 6 Wed ASWAN-WADI EL SEBOUA

Today you sail Lake Naser to Wadi El Seboua. The ship will overnight in Wadi El Seboua. B, L, D

Day 7 Thu WADI EL SEBOUA-AMADA-KASR IBRIM

Morning tour includes: the temple of Wadi El Seboua build by Ramses II in honor of two gods, Amon Ra & Ra Harmakis. The temple of Dakka dedicated to god Thor, lord of times & science & master of literature & the temple of Meharakka. Then sail to Amada to see the temple from the18th dynasty, the hemi-speos of Derr, dedicated to rising sun & the tomb of Penout. Dinner & overnight on board the ship as you sail to Kasr Ibrim. Day 8 Fri KASR IBRIM-ABU SIMBEL
Morning sail to see the citadel of Kasr Ibrim sole vestige of the distant past of Nubia. Then sail to Abu Simbel to visit the enormous Temples of Ramses II & his queen Nefertari. The ship will overnight in Abu Simbel. B, L, D
Day 9 Sat ABU SIMBEL-CAIRO
Disembark after breakfast & transferred to the airport this morning for your flight to Cairo. Upon arrival you will be met & transferred to your hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure. B

Day 10 Sun CAIRO-USA

Transfer to the airport for your flight home. B
