Itinerary
Choice A:   Day 1 USA-SAN JOSE Depart USA. Upon your arrival you will be met assisted & transferred to your hotel. The remainder of the day is at your leisure. Day 2 SAN JOSE-ARENAL (VOLCANO & TABACON THERMAL BATHS) This morning depart by shuttle bus to Arenal, via scenic San Ramon & the plains of San Carlos, a landscape of exceptional beauty, where you can see the volcano through the clouds (lunch on the way). Proceed to your Lodge in the area. In the afternoon you will visit the Tabacon Thermal Baths Resort where you can enjoy the luscious gardens & pools of therapeutic water heated to a perfect temperature by the Arenal Volcano. Arenal is Costa Rica’s most active volcano & erupts every moment, providing an unforgettable spectacle of sound & light, lava & ash. B, D Day 3 ARENAL (CANO NEGRO WILDLIFE REFUGE) Visit the Cano Negro wildlife Refuge. The variety of wild life in the area includes monkeys, sloths, ocelots, fresh water sharks & hundreds of species of birds. Continue to Cano Negro Lagoon for a boat ride through the Lake Region (box lunch included). B, L |

4 ARENAL-MONTEVERDE
Today you will be transferred by shuttle bus to Monteverde cloud forest area. This cloud forest reserve which covers an area of 10,500 hectares it is home to over 400 spesies of birds 100 species of mammals and many reptiles. The most famous bird in the area is the legendary Quetzal. Transfer to your lodge in the area. Balance of the day is at leisure. B  Day 5 MONTEVERDE After breakfast at the hotel you will take a guided walking tour through the Monteverde cloud forest private reserve. The remainder of the day is at your leisure. Explore or visit the village of Monteverde. B |

6 MONTEVERDE-GUANACASTE Today you will be transferred by shuttle bus to Guanacaste province in the North Pacific coast. It is Costa Rica’s largest region with unique towns, fantastic beaches, belching volcanoes & unbelievable wildlife. You will be transferred to your hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure to enjoy the beach & the beautiful surroundings. B |

7 & 8 GUANACASTE |

two days to discover this fascinating area on your own. Enjoy the
beach and the facilities of your hotel or take optional tours. B |

9 GUANACASTE-SAN JOSE |

You
will be transferred to the local airstrip for your short flight
to San Jose where you will be transferred to your hotel. The remainder
of the day is at leisure. Take this opportunity for some last minute
shopping or explore the city on your own. B |

10 SAN JOSE-USA |

After
breakfast at your hotel you will be transferred to the airport for
your departing flight home. B |

 Days 1-5 Same itinerary as choice A Day 6 MONTEVERDE-MANUEL ANTONIO You will be transferred by ground transportation to Manuel Antonio National Park on the Pacific coast & proceed to your hotel. This unique park features a tall evergreen forest that grows to a high-tide mark & holds a variety of wildlife, including the squirrel & the monkey, both currently in danger of extinction. It also features white sandy beaches & islands that dot the coastline. These islands are home to numerous waterfowl & dolphins. Whales are sometimes sighted in the clear crystal waters. The remainder of the day is at leisure. B |

7 MANUEL ANTONIO The day is at leisure to enjoy the hotel facilities & the beach. You may choose to stroll around or take a swim. The beach is the most beautiful in Costa Rica or perhaps visit (optional tour) the Manuel Antonio National Park. B |

will be transferred by to Quepos airstrip for your short flight
to San Jose where you will be transferred to your hotel, the remainder
