Itinerary
Day 1 USA-SANTIAGO
Depart USA via overnight flight to Buenos Aires with meals on board.
Day 2 SANTIAGO
Early morning arrival in Santiago, where you will be met, assisted & transferred to your hotel. Santiago, with the snow-capped Andes on its backdrop, was founded in 1541 by Pedro de Valdivia as the first white settlement in the area. Today is a cosmopolitan city with excellent shopping, a wide range of restaurants and good nightlife. The remainder of the day is at leisure.
Day 3 SANTIAGO
Morning tour of the city takes you through old & modern residential areas. Club Hipico, Cousino Palace, Union Club, Plaza the Armas, Chilean University, San Francisco church, Santa Lucia Hill (site of the city’s foundation), the Cathedral, and the pre-Colombian Art Museum are among the highlights. You will drive up San Cristobal Hill with a commanding view of the city and its surroundings and crowning the hill, the imposing statue of Virgin Mary. The afternoon is free to explore the city on your own. B
Day 4 SANTIAGO (VINA DEL MAR-VALPARAISO)

Drive through the picturesque Chilean countryside to historic Valparaiso, Chile’s main seaport, founded in 1536. You will visit both the old and modern districts to see Victory Square, dock and wharf area, the Naval Academy and Santa Maria University. Continue to Vina del Mar main seaside resort of Chile known as the Garden City driving along a coast of impressive beauty. Visit includes; Plaza Vergara, Sausalito Park, San Martin Avenue and more. Return to Santiago. B
Day 5 SANTIAGO-PUERTO MONTT
Today you will fly to Puerto Montt, a charming seaport town on the gulf of Ancud in southern Chile, for an overnight stay. Germans settled Puerto Montt in 1852, and their heritage is evident in its architecture, with attractive Alpine-houses with decorative balconies abound. The scenery throughout the area is spectacular. You will be met and transferred to your hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure. B
Day 6 PUERTO MONTT-PEULA
The journey starts this morning following the road to Ensenada along of Lake Llanquihue & to Petrohue In Todos los Santos Lake. Visit the Petrohue waterfalls & embark the boat to cross the lake to the city of Peulla for dinner & overnight. B, D
Day 7 PEULLA-BARILOCHE

The journey continues this morning. You depart to Puerto Frias to board a boat which will take you across Lake Frias to Puerto Alegre. Then continue by bus to Puerto Blest in the shores of Nahuel Huapi Lake to board another boat, crossing the lake to Puerto Panuelo. Once there, continue by bus to the city of Bariloche in Argentina where you will be transferred to your hotel. B
Day 8 BARILOCHE
Located on the shores of Lake Nahuel Huapi, in an unbelievably beautiful area, this Swiss style mountain resort is surrounded by dense forests, alpine lakes and mountains boast some of the most remarkable scenery in Argentina. A morning tour takes you along the shores the lake and through remarkable Andean scenery to Playa Bonita for a spectacular view of the Huemul Island. Continue to Campanario hill and to Llao Llao peninsula to visit its chapel and the famous Llao Llao hotel with its beautiful architecture and views. Proceed to Puerto Panuelo and Cerro Lopez from where panoramic views of lakes and peninsulas will surprise you. The afternoon is at leisure. (B)
Day 9 BARILOCHE-BUENOS AIRES
Today you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Buenos Aires. Located on the Rio de la Plata, the widest estuary in the world, Buenos Aires is the most elegant city in South America & one of the worlds most cosmopolitan. You will be met & transferred to your hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure. B
Day 10 BUENOS AIRES
Morning tour visits the historical complex of Plaza the Mayo with the Government House, the historical Cabildo & the Cathedral, Avenida de Mayo, Congress Palace & Colon Opera House. Continue to the Italian section of La Boca, the old San Telmo quarters, the beautiful parks and Gardens in Palermo and Ricoleta with its elegant side walk cafes, restaurants and its famous cemetery. The afternoon is at leisure for your own activities. B
Day 11 BUENOS AIRES (ESTANCIA TOUR)

Early morning departure to the Pampas to feel another aspect of Argentinean life. The Pampas are a blend of traditional Gaucho lore and modern agro-industry. You will visit a typical Argentine Estancia (ranch) to feel the atmosphere of country life, which contrasts so sharply with the life of Buenos Aires. Enjoy an “empanada” and the traditional “asado” barbecue together with live folk and Tango music. The Gauchos will display their riding abilities and a typical “sortija” ring race. B, L
Day 12 BUENOS AIRES-USA
The day is at leisure. In the evening you will be transferred to the airport for your flight home. B
