Early
morning arrival in Santiago, where you will be met, assisted & transferred
to your hotel. Santiago, with the snow-capped Andes on its backdrop,
was founded in 1541 by Pedro de Valdivia as the first white settlement
in the area. Today is a cosmopolitan city with excellent shopping,
a wide range of restaurants and good nightlife. The remainder of
the day is at leisure. |

3 SANTIAGO (CITY TOUR) |

Morning
tour takes you through the bustling streets of the city. Highlights
include La Moneda Palace, the pre Colombian Art museum which features
textiles fro the Indian cultures, Plaza the Armas, the Cathedral,
the fine Arts museum, Santa Lucia Hill, site of the city’s foundation,
& more. Return to your hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure.
Perhaps walk at the Plaza the Armas, visit Los Graneros del Alma
shopping village, or Belavista a center for art galleries jewelry
shops and charming cafes or take optional tours. B

4 SANTIAGO (VINA DEL MAR-VALPARAISO) |

You
depart from your hotel this morning for a full day tour to Vina
del Mar & Valparaiso. After crossing the picturesque Chilean countryside
you arrive in historic Valparaiso, Chile’s main seaport, founded
in 1536. You will admire the enchanting colonial architecture in
the old district. You will visit both the old and modern districts
to see Victory Square, dock and wharf area, the Naval Academy, Santa
Maria University & more. Continue to Vina del Mar main seaside resort
of Chile known as the Garden City along a coast of impressive beauty.
Visit includes Plaza Vergara, Sausalito Park, San Martin Avenue
& more, Return to Santiago in the evening. B |

5 SANTIAGO-PUNTA ARENAS-PUERTO NATALES |

Today
you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Punta
Arenas, considered by the Chileans to be the world’s southernmost
city where you will be met & transferred to the bus station for
your bus ride to Puerto Natales where you will be transferred to
your hotel. B |

6 PUERTO NATALES (TORRES DEL PAINE)
Full day tour to Del Paine National Park a world biosphere reserve one of the wildest & most fascinating places in the world. Wildlife and scenery are spectacular, glaciers creep down mountainsides breaking off into fjords; giant condors circle overhead; waterfalls tumble over short cliffs; huge Patagonian hares scurry across the dry terrain and pink flamingos flock alongside icy blue lakes dotted with icebergs. Rapidly flowing rivers with fields of wild flowers & lush green forests with fantastic bird life round out the scene. After visiting the park you will return to Puerto Natales for overnight. B, L |

you will be transferred by bus to Punta Arenas harbor to embark
the MV Mare Australis for a four nights cruise through the channels

you will sail through Almirantazgo gulf to Ainsworth bay to observe
Marinelli Glacier & a colony of elephant seals. Then continue to

Day 12 BUENOS AIRES (ESTANCIA TOUR) Early morning departure to the Pampas, where you will feel another aspect of Argentine life. The Pampas are a blend of traditional Gaucho lore and modern agro-industry. You will visit a typical Argentine Estancia (ranch) to feel the atmosphere of country life, which contrasts so sharply with the life of Buenos Aires.
