morning arrival in Santiago, where you will be met, assisted & transferred
to your hotel. Santiago, with the snow-capped Andes on its backdrop,
was founded in 1541 by Pedro de Valdivia as the first white settlement
in the area. Today is a cosmopolitan city with excellent shopping,
a wide range of restaurants and good nightlife. The remainder of

Morning tour takes you through the bustling streets of the city. Highlights include La Moneda Palace, the pre Colombian Art museum which features textiles fro the Indian cultures, Plaza the Armas, the Cathedral, the fine Arts museum, Santa Lucia Hill, site of the city’s foundation, & more. Return to your hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure. Perhaps walk at the Plaza the Armas, visit Los Graneros del Alma shopping village, or Belavista a center for art galleries jewelry shops and charming cafes or take optional tours. B ![]() |

4 SANTIAGO (VINA DEL MAR-VALPARAISO) |

You
depart from your hotel this morning for a full day tour to Vina
del Mar & Valparaiso. After crossing the picturesque Chilean countryside
you arrive in historic Valparaiso, Chile’s main seaport, founded
in 1536. You will admire the enchanting colonial architecture in
the old district. You will visit both the old and modern districts
to see Victory Square, dock and wharf area, the Naval Academy, Santa
Maria University & more. Continue to Vina del Mar main seaside resort
of Chile known as the Garden City along a coast of impressive beauty.
Visit includes Plaza Vergara, Sausalito Park, San Martin Avenue
& more, Return to Santiago in the evening. B |

5 SANTIAGO-PUERTO MONTT |
|
You
will be transferred to the airport this morning for your flight
to Puerto Montt. You will be met and transferred to your hotel.
Located on a beautiful setting on the gulf of Ancud, the capital
of the Lake region, it was founded by German settlers during the
last century and their heritage is evident in its architecture.
The reminder of the day is at leisure to explore on your own. B |

6 PUERTO MONTT (FRUTILLAR & PUERTO OCTAY) |

Depart
from your hotel for a morning excursion to Frutillar, a lovely town
set at the shores of Lake Llanquihue. Visit the upper & lower parts
of the city, the church and the Museum, both devoted to the German
pioneers. Stop at one of the shops to taste delicious pastries &
pies. After lunch the excursion continues to Puerto Octay, an attractive
village on the northern section of the lake founted in 1854. Return

7 PUERTO MONTT (OSORNO VOLCANO &PEREZ ROSALES NAT’ L PARK) |

You
will depart from your hotel for a full day excursion. You will experience
spectacular scenery driving along the southern shore of Lake Llianguihue
admiring the beauty of Osorno & Calbuco Volcanoes on your way to
the famous Santos del Petrohue waterfalls. The rapids, formed by
the abundant fast flowing waters of the Petrohue River along with
seven lovely waterfalls, are located in an exceptional setting surrounded
by lush vegetation. Visit and continue to Todos Los Santos Lake
for lunch in a local restaurant. After lunch continue to Osorno
volcano. A short hike through ancient Coigue tree forests allows
you spectacular views of Burbuja crater, Petrhue river valley, the
Andes Mountain & the Cabulco volcano. Return to Puerto Montt by

8 PUERTO MONTT (CHILOE ISLAND) |

Depart
from your hotel this morning for a full day excursion to Ancud in
Chiloe Island. Drive to Pargua to board the ferryboat for a 30 minute
sail through the Chacao channel to the island. From there you proceed
to Caulin Bay. After lunch continue to the lovely town of Ancud.
Visit the Chilotur Cultural Center, where you will see exhibits
of relics, photographs, stuffed-birds & replicas as well as displays
explaining the myths & legends of Chiloe. Return to Puerto Montt.

5 SANTIAGO-VALDIVIA (ROUTE OF THE GALLEONS) |

You
will be transferred to the airport this morning for your flight
to Valdivia, where you will be met & transferred to your hotel.
Set on the banks of Calle Calle River, Valdivia is one of the most
attractive cities of the Lake region & impresses visitors with the
richness and variety of its architecture. In the afternoon you will
be transferred to riverside dock to board a boat for a tour of the
Coral Bay, where the Valdivia River flows out in the Pacific Ocean.
You will cruise along the river to observe ancient mansions built
by the German settlers. You will stop at the Huapi Island for lunch
& continue to the port of Coral to visit the fort of San Sebastian
de La Cruz, the most important & powerful fortress in the South
Pacific sector of the Spanish defense system. Then continue to Mancera
Island, located in the middle of the bay, to visit the San Pedro
de Alcantara Castle. Return through the city of Valdivia to the
riverside dock & return to your hotel. B, L

6 VALDIVIA (ONCOL HILL & SELVA VALDIVIANA) |

You
will drive to Nieba on the coast of the Pacific Ocean. You will
visit the castle of Puca y Limpia de Conception de Monfort de Lemus,
built in 1671 with 18 canons to guard the entrance of the bay. Continue
to Los Molinos a small cove on the edge of the bay, and then to
Oncol Park, a native forest reserve with rich variety of flora &
fauna. Enjoy a box lunch on the sumit of the hill with spectacular
views of the city of Valdivia. You will return to your hotel with
a stop on the way to the traditional Kunstmann brewery. B, L |

will be transferred by regular bus transportation this morning to
Puerto Montt where you will be met and transferred to your hotel.

Full
day tour to Del Paine National Park a world biosphere reserve one
of the wildest & most fascinating places in the world. Wildlife
and scenery are spectacular, glaciers creep down mountainsides breaking
off into fjords; giant condors circle overhead; waterfalls tumble
over short cliffs; huge Patagonian hares scurry across the dry terrain
and pink flamingos flock alongside icy blue lakes dotted with icebergs.
Rapidly flowing rivers with fields of wild flowers & lush green
forests with fantastic bird life round out the scene. After visiting
the park you will return to Puerto Natales for overnight. B, L
