Day 1 Fri USA-BUENOS AIRES
Depart USA vi overnight flight to Buenos Aires with meals on board.
Day 2 Sat BUENOS AIRES
Located on the Rio de la Plata, the widest estuary in the world, Buenos Aires is the most elegant city in South America & one of the world most cosmopolitan. You will be met & transferred to your hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure.
Day 3 Sun BUENOS AIRES
Morning tour visits the historical complex of Plaza the Mayo with the Government House, the historical Cabildo & the Cathedral, Avenida de Mayo, Congress Palace & Colon Opera House. Continue to the Italian section of La Boca, the old San Telmo quarters, the beautiful parks and Gardens in Palermo and Ricoleta with its elegant side walk cafes, restaurants and famous cemetery. 4 Mon BUENOS AIRES (ESTANCIA TOUR)
Early morning departure to the Pampas, where you will feel another aspect of Argentinian life. The Pampas are a blend of traditional Gaucho lore and modern agro-industry. You will visit a typical Argentine Estancia (ranch) to feel the atmosphere of country life, which contrasts so sharply with the life of Buenos Aires. Enjoy an “empanada” and the traditional “asado” barbecue together with live folk and Tango music. The Gauchos will display their riding abilities and a typical “sortija” ring race. (B, L)

Today you will fly to San Carlos de Bariloche. Located on the shores of Lake Nahuel Huapi, this Swiss style mountain resort is surrounded by dense forests, alpine lakes and mountains boast some of the most remarkable scenery in Argentina. The remainder of the day is at leisure. Perhaps walk the streets of this charming town and sample some of the many varieties of jellies and jams made from native fruits found nowhere else in the world or the local specialty “papas the Bariloche”. Day 6 Wed BARILOCHE
A morning tour takes you along the shores of Nahuel Huapi Lake and through remarkable Andean scenery to Playa Bonita for a spectacular view of the Huemul Island. Continue to Campanario hill and to Llao Llao peninsula to visit its chapel and the famous Llao Llao hotel with its beautiful architecture and views. Proceed to Puerto Panuelo and Cerro Lopez from where panoramic views of lakes and peninsulas will surprise you. The afternoon is at leisure. (B)

Continue by bus to Puerto Alegre to board another boat to cross the Frias Lake to Port Frias and continue by bus along a dense forest to the Chilean border. After you clear customs you will proceed to the hotel in Peulla for dinner and overnight. (B, D)

Visit the Petrohue Waterfalls and continue by bus along Llanquihue Lake to Puerto Varas and then to Puerto Montt, a charming seaport town on the gulf of Ancud in southern Chile for overnight. Germans settled Puerto Montt in 1852 and their heritage is evident in its architecture, with attractive Alpine-houses with decorative balconies abound and the scenery throughout the area spectacular. (B)
Day 9 Sat PUERTO MONTT-SANTIAGO
Enjoy a morning at leisure before your flight to Santiago. Meeting and assistance upon arrival and transferal to your hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure. Santiago with the snow-capped Andes on its backdrop is a cosmopolitan city, which offers excellent shopping, a wide range of restaurants and good nightlife. (B)

Morning tour of the city takes you through old & modern residential areas; Club Hipico, Cousino Palace, Union Club, Plaza the Armas, Chilean University, San Francisco church, Santa Lucia Hill site of the city’s foundation, the Cathedral, and the pre-Colombian Art Museum. You will drive up San Cristobal Hill with a commanding view of the city and its surroundings and crowning the hill, the imposing statue of Virgin Mary. The afternoon is free to explore the city on your own. (B)
Day 11 Mon SANTIAGO (VINA DEL MAR-VALPARAISO)
Drive through the picturesque Chilean countryside to historic Valparaiso, Chile’s main seaport founded in 1536. You will visit both the old and modern districts to see Victory Square, dock and wharf area, the Naval Academy and Santa Maria University. Continue to Vina del Mar main seaside resort of Chile known as the Garden City driving along a coast of impressive beauty. Visit includes; Plaza Vergara, Sausalito Park, San Martin Avenue and more, Return to Santiago. (B)
