4 BUENOS AIRES (ESTANCIA TOUR)
Today
you will drive to the Argentinean Pampas to feel another aspect
of Argentinean life. The Pampas are a blend of traditional Gaucho
lore and modern agro-industry. You will visit a typical Argentine
Estancia (ranch) to feel the atmosphere of country life, which contrasts
so sharply with the life of Buenos Aires. Enjoy an “empanada” and
the traditional “asado” barbecue together with live folk and Tango
music. The Gauchos will display their riding abilities and a typical
“sortija” ring race. B, L

5 BUENOS AIRES-PUERTO IGUASSU
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Iguassu Falls. Meeting and
assistance upon arrival and transferral to your hotel. Located near the Junction
of Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay in the Iguassu National Park,
one of the largest reserves of subtropical jungle, the cataracts
are formed by 275 different cascades spanning two and half miles
across. In the afternoon, take a tour of the falls (Argentinian
side) and admire the beauty and abundance of one of the world’s
great naturalwonders. B

3 BUENOS AIRES
Morning
tour visits the historical complex of Plaza the Mayo with the Government
House, the historical Cabildo & the Cathedral, Avenida de Mayo,
Congress Palace & Colon Opera House. Continue to the Italian section
of La Boca, the old San Telmo quarters, the beautiful parks and
Gardens in Palermo and Ricoleta, with its elegant side walk cafes,
restaurants and famous cemetery. The remainder of the day is at
leisure. B

2 BUENOS AIRES
Located on the Rio de la Plata, the widest estuary in the world,
Buenos Aires is the most elegant city in South America & one of
the world most cosmopolitan. You will be met & transferred to
your hotel. The balance of the day is at leisure to relax & to
get acquainted with the city

take an optional tour to the Brazilian side of the falls or
visit the Itaipu dam
or the ruins in San Ignacio. B

7 PUERTO IGUASSU –BUENOS AIRES
The morning is free. In the afternoon you will be
transferred to the airport for your flight to Buenos Aires.
Meeting, assistance and transfer to your hotel. The balance of the day is at leisure.
Perhaps visit Florida Avenue for fine shopping, the artist’s market
in Caminito, the charming cafes & restaurants in La Boca & San Telmo
or experience the city’s nightlife for which Buenos Aires is famous.

9 SALTA (JUJUY-HUMAHUACA)
A full day tour takes you to San Salvador de Jujuy, a
Spanish colonial town with an Andean Indian flair. Visit the
Cathedral with its ornate golden altar, the Colorful Indian
Market, the Government house where the first Argentine flag is
on display & more. Continue along the Humahuaca Canyon to Purmamarca, a lonely town surrounded by colorful
mountains that characterize the area, then continue to the town
of Tilcara to visit the museum & “Pucara” Indian fortress. Proceed
to the town of Humauhaca, a traditional town founded 400 years ago.
Visit the Cathedral built in 1641, & the Handicraft Market. B

10 SALTA (RIO LAS CONCHAS-CAFAYATE)
Today drive southwards along the Quebradas de Las Flechas, surrounded
by the beautiful mountain landscape & impressive rock formations,
to the town of Cafayate, a whitewashed town with a very colonial
feel set in the middle of a wine-producing region. Visit to the
town includes the private museum, which houses many items of ancient
Indian cultures. Continue to a vineyard to taste the “Torrontes”
wine for which this area is famous. Return to Salta in the evening.

8 BUENOS AIRES-SALTA
Today
you will fly to Salta in Argentina’s historic northwest. Founded
by the Spaniards in 1582 Salta is where the Spanish influence is
best preserved and retains many of its colonial buildings some converted
into museums. Here the decisive battle for independence from Spain
took place. The remainder of the day is at leisure. B

11 SALTA-BUENOS AIRES-USA
You will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Buenos
Aires to connect with your evening flight home B
